First Post

Well it has finally happened, I have started my own blog. I figured it was time for the Internet and everyone that uses it to have the availability to know what I am thinking. So without further ado lets get to it.

This first post is going to be about the "best" player in the NBA. Which is going to be more about the best players because until you define what you mean by best you can't really come to the conclusion of who it is. In my mind there are many ways to define the best basketball player. You can go by pure athleticism (Lebron), or the best shooter (Kobe), or there is the best scorer (currently Durant). At this point in time I still consider Kobe Bryant as the best player in the NBA until some one else can prove otherwise. Now I know that many people disagree with me on this topic but its my blog. Anyway, Kobe is currently on the best team in the NBA. Back to back champions, the Lakers only got better over the off season with the additions of Matt Barnes, and Steve Blake. Kobe is THE best SG in the NBA right now. I'm not getting into the debate about Kobe vs Jordan because that is just stupid. Kobe has won 5 NBA championships and can possibly do it again this year. As of right now Kobe is the best. He can knock down a shot from practically anywhere on the court with a hand in his face. He truly has ice in his veins. Need proof watch this! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lxLpaifGurw Kobe didn't flinch at all. That's just cold. Need proof from an in game scenario? Here you go. Clutch Need I say more?

With that said there are two other players maybe even three that are also in the running. But between the three of them they only have 1 championship. The three are Lebron James, Kevin Durant, and Dwayne Wade. Wade being the only one with a ring. I'm not going to talk much about Lebron or D-Wade because that is the topic for my next post. But Kevin Durant on the other hand is an amazing player. The youngest scoring champ ever. Currently my favorite player to watch. I watched him play for the USA national team this summer and he really carried that team to a gold medal (and a perfect record). He is so much fun to watch! So currently Kobe is at the top of my list but that can definitely change due to the talent currently in the NBA.

Well I think that brings me to the end of my first post. Please feel free to leave comments and follow me on twitter @pottorf33

Next post will be about The Decision and my thoughts on Lebron going to the heat.

Until next time!
